In a newly rediscovered interview from 2015, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors not only confesses to be a ‘trained organizer,” but brags about being a “trained Marxist.”

 

Cullors, who had previously made a name for herself as a “queer activist,” told Real News Network in 2015 that BLM has an “ideology frame”:

 

“Myself and Alicia, in particular, are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super versed on ideological theories, and I think that what we really try to do is build a movement that can be utilized by many, many black folk.”
